Deze vijfdaagse virtualisatie training biedt de cursist de kennis en vaardigheden die hij nodig heeft voor het implementeren en beheren van een server virtualisatie omgeving met behulp van Microsoft-technologieën. De training behandelt het implementeren en beheren middels Hyper-V en Remote Desktop Services op Windows Server 2008 R2. Ook wordt er ingegaan op hoe je een server virtualisatie omgeving kunt beheren met behulp van System Center producten, zoals System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) 2008, SCVMM 2008 R2, System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2, System Center Data Protection Manager 2007 R2, en System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2.
Deze training vereist geen vorige server virtualisatie ervaring, maar vereist wel dat de cursist beschikt over voldoende ervaring met het beheren van Windows Server 2008 en/of Windows Server 2008 R2.
Doelgroep
De doelgroep voor deze training is de Windows Server 2008 systeembeheerder die server virtualisatie technologieën toepast en beheert binnen een netwerk. De cursist is verantwoordelijk voor het virtualiseren van eigen servers of wil de mogelijkheden van server virtualisatie binnen een bestaande omgeving verkennen. Ervaring met virtualisatie is niet vereist, toch wordt enige kennis van virtualisatie concepten en management tools ten zeerste aanbevolen.
Voorkennis
Voor het volgen van deze training dient de cursist te beschikken over:
Basiskennis van server virtualisatie concepten met betrekking tot Microsoft of een andere derde-partij virtualisatie technologieën.
Kennis van Windows netwerken inclusief Active Directory.
Kennis van Windows Server 2008 failover clustering.
Basiskennis van storage technologieën, zoals Storage Area Network (SAN), inclusief Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI), Fibre Channel, en Direct Attached Storage (DAS).
